1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Auburn Technology Solutions, LLC ("Auburn Technology Solutions," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the CommandCue mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect personal information through CommandCue. The App does not require you to create an account and does not transmit your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or MXNet configuration to us.

The App does not include third-party advertising, behavioral tracking, or analytics software development kits.

3. Local Network Access

CommandCue requests access to your local network so it can connect directly to a compatible MXNet Control Box (CBOX). This connection enables the App to retrieve endpoint information and perform actions you request, such as routing sources, renaming endpoints, and sending CEC power commands to connected displays.

  • Communication occurs directly between your device and the CBOX.
  • MXNet endpoint names, IP addresses, hardware identifiers, route information, and status information are processed on your device.
  • This information is not transmitted to Auburn Technology Solutions or stored on our servers.

CommandCue uses the CBOX's local TCP API. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the local network on which the App and MXNet equipment operate.

4. Information Stored on Your Device

To provide a convenient experience, CommandCue may store limited preferences locally on your device, including:

  • The CBOX IP address you enter;
  • Your selected appearance setting;
  • The hardware identifiers of devices you mark as favorites; and
  • Other basic interface preferences needed for App operation.

These preferences remain on your device and are not sent to us.

5. How Information Is Used

Information received from your CBOX is used only to display system status and perform commands that you initiate within the App. We do not use this information for advertising, profiling, analytics, marketing, or any unrelated purpose.

6. Sharing and Sale of Information

We do not sell, rent, disclose, or share personal information or MXNet system information because the App does not collect or receive that information on our systems. CommandCue does not use advertising networks, data brokers, or third-party analytics providers.

7. Apple Services

Apple may independently process information related to downloading, purchasing, updating, testing, or diagnosing the App through the App Store, TestFlight, iOS, or other Apple services. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's own privacy policies and is not controlled by CommandCue or Auburn Technology Solutions.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Because we do not collect information through the App, we do not retain App user data on our servers. You may remove locally stored CommandCue preferences by deleting the App from your device.

Changes made to the MXNet system, such as endpoint names or routes, may remain stored by the CBOX after the App is deleted. Those changes must be managed through CommandCue, the MXNet management interface, or the applicable MXNet system administration tools.

9. Children's Privacy

CommandCue is a technical control utility intended for system owners, administrators, and authorized operators. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Security

CommandCue minimizes privacy risk by avoiding accounts and remote data collection. Access to the local network remains subject to the security of your device, Wi-Fi network, and MXNet installation. Use appropriate network access controls and keep supported devices and system firmware up to date.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to CommandCue, legal requirements, or our privacy practices. The updated policy will be posted at this location with a revised "Last updated" date. If an update materially changes how information is handled, we will provide notice as required by applicable law.
